Environmental, Health and Safety

Enviropipes has made a commitment to provide and maintain a work environment that ensures the health and safety of our workers, contractors, customers and visitors. Our goal is to provide a healthy and safe work environment, a healthy community and a clean environment for everyone to enjoy.

ISO 14001 Certified

Our awareness of sustainability issues and actions to improve the environmental performance of our operations and products is demonstrated by our ISO 14001 certification.

We maintain up to date risk assessments and safe work practices to minimise the impact on health and the environment. Enviropipes’s product range does not include hazardous substances listed by the European Commission.

Reducing Waste

To reduce waste, Enviropipes utilises clean production scraps to produce fully traceable Post-Industrial Recyclates which are used in-house in the manufacturing of sustainably produced quality profiled walled pipes and tanks. Enviropipes data management system logs, tracks, and standardises data for material usage. Strict record keeping and the accuracy of results enables us to precisely track progress on improvements in compliance with external reporting standards.

Packaging

Reducing the use of packaging material is a core part of reducing off-site waste. Most of Enviropipes products are not individually wrapped and products packed on pallets are stacked and strapped to make the best use of available space while not compromising safety.

Smart Transport

To reduce the environmental impact from transport, different pipe sizes can be nested to allow them to travel pipe-in-pipe, and individual product weights are optimised to reduce weight and align dimensions precisely to the product specifications.

Water conscious

In terms of the effects of our operation on water, our yards and laydown areas are contoured and sealed with asphalt to direct rainwater into the purpose build underground stormwater detention with a minimal potential for silt. The cooling water system used in the production process is designed to minimise the use of water and chemicals by being a closed-circuit system that uses heat pumps to cool water as it is continues to recycle.
